A lifehacker entry pointed me to an article about doubling my reading rate. Very interesting tips for reading. One of the main ideas was that you could improve your rate if you stop verbalizing the words in your head. I’ll have to practice, since I tend to mentally verbalize every word I read. Do you have any reading tips to add?

A New Name

I’m trying to come up with a new name for my blog, one that is memorable, meaningful, and in spite of those things, available… I think it was much easier to people to come up with names for things before the Internet became so popular… It used to be enough if nobody you knew had heard of a band name this or a product named that. Now we go to desperate lengths to combine words and numbers, and even invent words to carve out our little niche on the web…

Yes, that’s right you math whiz people out there, today is the official one month anniversary of our marriage!!! Thank you Alison for making me the happiest man alive I knew marrying you would be awesome, but this is just so ridiculously incredible beyond any expectation! Thanks to everyone too for the special birthday wishes on feb. 3, my 25th birthday. Somehow even a milestone birthday seems dim after the surreal brightness of our wedding!

Once again my friends, it is time for me to break my xanga silence and announce to you the most joyous, most exciting, most profound, most celebrated event of my entire life. An event that marks the end of my life as a single man, and the beginning of a beautiful thing i’ve come to know as married life…
my bride Alison was a princess in her gown. The snow fell gently against the dark sky making the exit from the church feel hollywood style magical. The reception was the best I’ve ever seen. The cake was tasty, the music was happenin, and best of all, the guests made the night a huge celebration success. I can not even begin to express my gratefulness and thankfulness to everyone for everything. I am so blessed!
